Why the windshield

The sun hits where your visor cannot

Morning and evening drives put the sun right at eye level, below the visor and above the dash.

A sun strip is film across the top of the windshield, up to the AS-1 line. It takes that glare out of the drive.

South Carolina allows windshield film only above the AS-1 line, so the strip is the street-legal option.

Full windshield film is available too. Tell us the vehicle and how it is used and we will go over what fits.

A $40 deposit books your spot and comes off the total. Drop-off only at the Five Forks shop, Mon to Sat, 8am to 6pm. Full car packages start at $250 in carbon and $370 in ceramic IR.

Is windshield tint legal in South Carolina?
South Carolina allows windshield film only above the AS-1 line, the band marked near the top of most windshields. That strip has no VLT minimum, so any shade goes. Film below the AS-1 line on the main windshield surface is not permitted in SC.
What is a windshield sun strip?
A sun strip is a tinted band across the top of the windshield, above the AS-1 line. It blocks the sun that hits you at eye level on morning and evening drives, the angle your visor does not reach. Ours is 5% carbon and costs $60.
What is the difference between a sun strip and full windshield film?
A sun strip covers the top band only. Full windshield film covers the whole glass for more heat and UV rejection. South Carolina allows film only above the AS-1 line, so tell us the vehicle and how it is used and we will go over the options before you book.
Will windshield film affect my visibility at night?
A sun strip sits above your forward sightline, so it does not change how you see the road. Full windshield film is installed in light shades that most drivers barely notice, day or night.
Can I do just the windshield?
Yes, or any combination of glass. Windshield only is $150 in carbon and $180 in ceramic IR. Added to a full car package it is $150 in carbon or $180 in ceramic. There is no upsell.
How long does it take?
A windshield or a sun strip on its own takes about an hour. Added to a full car it is part of the same 2 to 4 hour appointment. It is drop-off only at the Five Forks shop and a $40 deposit holds the slot.
